Carbonmade - allows you to set up a clean, elegant, online portfolio and split your work into different 'projects' with minimum fuss.

The whole experience is uncluttered and it is clear that they wanted to keep things simple, making sure your images remained very much at the forefront. It is quick to set up, has a number of display options, so that you can select how you would like your work to be seen, and is well worth a look.

In a recent workshop we ran with university fine art students, they all had their own Carbonmade portfolio online within 5 minutes, after not having any previous experience. They did find the graphic design of the site (not the portfolios) slightly irritating but that may just be fine artists!  They said, however, that they really liked the simplicity of the portfolio layout and speed with which it could be set up.

The free service provides you with 5 projects in which you can organise your work and a total of 35 images spread between the projects.

If you want more, there is a monthly charge of $12.00 which gives you 50 projects and 500 images.
Currently with over 670,000 portfolios and 10 million images, this is a site to watch.

The portfolios already online cover a wide range of creative activities. What is nice is that you can try a live demonstration, set up projects, change the way images are displayed and generally get a feel for the product before you sign up.
